The Sharjah Finance Department has officially integrated the UAE’s Jaywan card across the Tahseel platform, significantly expanding digital payment options for government transactions.
The move enables customers to use these cards when making payments through the Tahseel website, smart application, and service centres. This gives users greater flexibility to complete transactions either digitally or in person.

Expanding Digital Payment Options
SFD stated the integration is part of its ongoing efforts to develop Tahseel into a more connected and efficient government payment ecosystem. This initiative aims to improve security while simplifying the overall customer payment journey.
With this integration, the Jaywan card becomes part of the wider range of payment methods available through Tahseel. Customers can now choose the specific channel and payment option that best suits their individual needs.
The UAE’s national payment card can now be used across Tahseel’s digital and physical channels, creating a unified payment experience for government transactions.
Jaywan: Strategic Infrastructure Development
Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at Sharjah Finance Department, said the integration supports the department’s efforts to strengthen Tahseel as a core component of Sharjah’s digital financial infrastructure.
She noted that adding this payment solution is more than simply introducing another method; it strengthens the availability of national payment solutions while supporting a secure and integrated experience.

Jaywan: Usage and Future Growth
According to SFD, the system recorded more than 558 transactions using the card during the first half of 2026. The first successful transaction through Tahseel was completed on September 20, 2025.
The department confirmed it will continue expanding Tahseel’s capabilities and payment options as part of Sharjah’s broader digital transformation efforts.
This integration also supports greater adoption of UAE-developed payment infrastructure by making the Jaywan card available for everyday government transactions.
Why Jaywan Matters
The Jaywan card integration highlights the UAE’s broader push to build a more connected and locally supported digital payments ecosystem.
For Sharjah, embedding the national payment card directly into Tahseel means residents and businesses can access government services through a wider range of digital and physical channels.
For the wider UAE, the move demonstrates how national payment infrastructure can be seamlessly integrated into government services as adoption continues to grow.
