Understanding the MZN Hub71 Accelerator
Unlike traditional accelerator programmes that focus on startups with existing traction, MZN Hub71 targets entrepreneurs at the earliest stage of their journey. Participants receive practical support to validate business ideas, develop minimum viable products (MVPs), refine business models, and prepare for future fundraising opportunities.
The Demo Day, held at MZN Hub Al Ain, featured startups spanning high-growth sectors including artificial intelligence (AI), HealthTech, ClimateTech, FinTech, and AgriTech. These ventures reflect Abu Dhabi's ambition to build a diversified innovation economy aligned with its long-term strategy.
Top Performing Emirati Startups
Following a live pitching competition, three standout startups received in-kind support packages to accelerate their commercial growth. Limb, an AI-powered physiotherapy platform, secured first place and received AED100,000 in support.
Second place went to Reach LLM, a platform that helps businesses optimise their visibility across large language models, receiving AED60,000. High Al Khaleej, a digital marketplace for camel auctions, claimed third place and was awarded AED40,000.

Building a National Innovation Pipeline
Throughout the programme, participants completed 21 workshops and pitch clinics covering product development, AI strategy, and fundraising. The curriculum was jointly developed by Khalifa Fund and Hub71 to prepare founders for long-term growth.
The initiative reflects Abu Dhabi's growing focus on strengthening local entrepreneurship. By investing in founders before they enter traditional accelerators, the emirate is building a stronger pipeline of homegrown technology companies capable of contributing to economic diversification and job creation.
Long-Term Impact on the Tech Ecosystem
The inaugural cohort will now transition into Hub71's broader ecosystem, where founders will continue receiving access to investors, government stakeholders, and global business networks. The longer-term success of MZN Hub71 will be measured by how many ventures secure follow-on funding and achieve international growth.
As the UAE positions itself as a leading innovation hub, these initiatives demonstrate a strategic commitment to nurturing local talent. Ensuring that more founders can build globally competitive startups is essential for the country's evolving digital economy.
Why Hub71 and Khalifa Partnership Matters to MENA
The launch of the MZN Hub71 Demo Day highlights a significant evolution in the regional startup ecosystem by investing in founders before they become established startups. This approach aligns with the UAE's broader economic diversification, prioritising technology and knowledge-based industries as key drivers of future growth.
For the wider MENA region, the programme offers a model that other countries can replicate to nurture local innovation. It creates a stronger pipeline of investment-ready startups across sectors such as AI and ClimateTech, industries central to the region's digital transformation ambitions.
