Fasset Hits $1B Unicorn Valuation After $68M Series C
Tribe Techie

Fasset has officially reached unicorn status, achieving a $1B valuation after raising $68M in Series C funding led by SBI Group, bringing its total funding for 2026 to $119M.

The company said the new funding will support the expansion of Own Network, its regulated financial infrastructure connecting banks, telecommunications companies, payment providers, liquidity providers and other financial institutions across international markets.

Fasset will also increase investment in agentic AI systems designed to support corridor banking, stablecoin settlement and tokenised asset infrastructure.

Expanding Own Network Infrastructure

Own Network is designed to connect local financial systems and enable settlement across more than 100 banking corridors. The network links banking institutions, payment providers, telcos, liquidity providers, custody partners and settlement networks.

Stablecoins are used as settlement infrastructure across parts of the network, allowing value to move between markets where appropriate. Fasset said customers do not need to interact directly with the underlying settlement infrastructure.

Instead, they access financial products and accounts that allow them to receive, hold, move, spend and invest across currencies, markets and asset classes.

AI-Driven Transaction Routing

The company also uses AI to optimise transaction routing across payment rails, currencies, liquidity providers and settlement methods based on factors such as cost, speed and availability.

The investment strengthens Fasset's relationship with SBI Group, which has investments across banking, securities, asset management and private equity.

SBI Group has previously invested in major digital finance companies including Ripple, Circle and Morpho. Its broader ecosystem also includes B2C2 and SBI Remit.

Strategic Global Partnerships

Yoshitaka Kitao, Representative Director, Chairman, President and CEO of SBI Holdings, said Fasset's cross-border financial infrastructure aligns with SBI Group's plans to develop an on-chain digital economy across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Upgrade

The companies also have an existing partnership with SBI Remit, which provides access to a network supporting bank-account remittances to approximately 200 countries.

Fasset said its infrastructure is designed to address the limitations created by fragmented financial systems and geographic barriers to accessing financial services.

The Future of Any-to-Any Banking

“Any-to-any banking” is central to the company's strategy, according to Mohammad Raafi Hossain, Co-Founder and CEO of Fasset. “The next phase is about any-to-any banking. Any person to any person. Any asset to any asset. Any rail to any rail, anywhere.”

Hossain said the company intends to invest deeper into the financial infrastructure stack, including regulatory licences in emerging markets and AI-enabled payment systems.

Fasset's approach combines regulated local financial infrastructure with stablecoin settlement, AI-powered transaction routing and access to global assets.

Scaling Global Operations

Fasset said it now processes more than $40 billion in annualised transaction volume, serving more than 3 million wallets across 125 countries and more than 1,000 enterprises globally.

Its products serve consumer, business and institutional customers, with a regulatory footprint spanning the GCC, Asia, Europe and other international markets.

The company raised its $51 million Series B in May, with Speedinvest joining its shareholder base alongside strategic investors. Stefan Klestil, General Partner at Speedinvest, said Fasset is building regulated infrastructure to give customers in growth markets access to stablecoins, global assets and cross-border payment rails.

The Series C gives Fasset additional capital to scale its financial infrastructure while expanding its use of AI and stablecoins across international payment and settlement networks. The company's $1 billion valuation also places it among the growing number of fintech unicorns emerging from the intersection of digital assets, payments and financial infrastructure.

Why Fasset Unicorn Valuation Matters to MENA

Fasset's latest funding is significant for MENA because the region is becoming an important bridge between Asia, Africa and global digital finance. Its focus on stablecoin settlement, cross-border payments and regulated financial infrastructure aligns with growing demand for faster and more efficient movement of money across emerging markets.

The SBI-backed expansion could also strengthen financial connections between Japan, the GCC and African markets, while positioning Fasset to compete in the increasingly crowded market for stablecoin-powered financial infrastructure.
