Saudi construction tech startup Project Suppliers has raised $1M to build AI-powered cash-flow and financing tools for contractors and suppliers. The SAR3.75 million round was backed by undisclosed angel investors and will help the company develop solutions for businesses operating in Saudi Arabia’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and construction sectors.

Scaling Saudi Construction Tech Solutions
Founded by Hossam Gaber and his co-founders, Project Suppliers operates a digital platform connecting construction buyers and suppliers. The company says its database contains more than 12,000 suppliers and contractors, while almost 600,000 requests for quotations (RFQs) have been submitted through the platform. Project Suppliers plans to use the operational data generated through those transactions to move beyond procurement.
The company is developing tools designed to help contractors and suppliers manage liquidity, monitor cash flow and deal with delayed payment and collection cycles. It also plans to introduce artificial intelligence into its data analysis, with the aim of developing predictive and financing products that can identify cash-flow needs and improve supply-chain efficiency.
That would move the platform into a different part of the construction value chain: helping businesses manage the financial problems that emerge after a supplier is connected with a buyer. Project Suppliers says delayed settlements and uneven cash cycles remain significant challenges for MEP suppliers and construction businesses in Saudi Arabia.
Growth and Vision 2030 Impact
That problem becomes more relevant as contractors and suppliers participate in the large pipeline of infrastructure and development projects associated with Saudi Vision 2030. Hossam Gaber, co-founder and CEO of Project Suppliers, said the funding comes as the company moves to combine its procurement network with financial technology.

“This investment round comes at a pivotal time, reinforcing the importance of the platform as an innovative tool that combines operational connectivity with smart financial solutions,” said Hossam Gaber, Co-founder and CEO of Project Suppliers.
Gaber said the MEP supply and construction sector remains a key part of Saudi Arabia’s major projects but continues to face challenges around cash-flow management and delayed financial settlements. The immediate focus is Saudi Arabia, where Project Suppliers plans to launch its new financial and technology products for contractors and suppliers.
Future Expansion in the GCC
The company ultimately plans to take the offering into other GCC markets, potentially extending the model beyond procurement into a broader platform for construction commerce and financial management.
Why it Matters to MENA Startups
Project Suppliers is part of a broader shift in MENA fintech and vertical software: startups are increasingly using industry-specific transaction data to build financial products around existing business workflows.
For construction-tech founders, the model offers another route beyond marketplaces and procurement software. A platform that already sees supplier searches, quotations, and purchasing activity can potentially use that data to identify financing needs, improve risk assessment and build financial services around the companies using it.
The bigger test for Project Suppliers will be whether it can turn its procurement network into a financial infrastructure layer for Saudi construction businesses, and eventually take that model across the GCC.
