Saudi AI startup RIME has raised over $2M in Seed funding to expand its Physical AI platform, bringing edge AI and AIoT automation to enterprises across the GCC.
The funding round was led by Seedra Ventures, with participation from Athlah Investment, Unity Invest Partners, and a group of prominent angel investors. The investment follows an earlier pre-Seed round, also led by Seedra Ventures, underscoring continued investor confidence in RIME's technology, execution, and long-term vision.
The fresh capital will be used to enhance the company's proprietary technology, expand enterprise deployments, and help businesses automate decision-making within physical environments through Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and edge computing.

Scaling the Physical AI Platform
Founded to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and real-world operations, RIME has developed an end-to-end system that enables enterprises to deploy autonomous AI agents across physical locations such as retail stores, bank branches, warehouses, factories, and service centres.
Unlike traditional AI systems that rely heavily on cloud computing, RIME processes data directly at the edge, allowing AI agents to analyse events and make decisions in real time without depending on remote data centres.
By combining AIoT with edge computing, the platform integrates existing cameras and sensors into intelligent operational networks capable of monitoring environments, detecting events, enforcing compliance, and triggering automated responses instantly.
This approach enables organizations to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, minimize losses, strengthen compliance, and optimize frontline operations while maintaining low latency and enhanced data security.
Rapid Growth Across the GCC
RIME has experienced rapid growth since its launch. Today, the company connects more than 6,000 cameras to autonomous AI agents operating across over 2,000 sites throughout the GCC, serving a growing portfolio of major retail chains and enterprise customers.
The scale of deployment positions RIME among the region's fastest-growing technology providers, reflecting increasing demand for solutions capable of improving operational performance beyond traditional digital workflows.
Mohammed Al Marshadi, Co-founder of RIME, said the company is helping usher in a new era where AI systems actively participate in real-world operations rather than simply processing information on screens.

"We are moving into a new era of Physical AI, where systems move beyond screens to interact and make decisions directly within operational environments. Processing data on-site through edge computing is the foundation for running field-level AI agents, enabling ultra-fast processing, seamless integration with existing systems, and real-time response."
He added that RIME's goal is to provide enterprises with a secure and user-friendly platform while managing the underlying infrastructure, allowing customers to deploy AI solutions without significant technical complexity.
RIME Future Outlook and Strategic Alignment
Seedra Ventures said its continued backing of RIME reflects its conviction that operational AI represents one of the most promising opportunities in enterprise technology.
According to Abdullah Al Munif, Co-founder of Seedra Ventures, the widespread availability of AI models means competitive advantage increasingly depends on how businesses deploy intelligence within operational environments.
He noted that organizations across the region already possess extensive networks of cameras and sensors that have traditionally been used only for passive monitoring. Transforming those existing assets into real-time operational intelligence systems represents a significant market opportunity that RIME is well positioned to capture.
RIME plans to use the new funding to deepen its footprint across Saudi Arabia, accelerate product innovation, and enable enterprises to build scalable AI-powered operational applications.
The expansion aligns with the Kingdom's National Strategy for Data and AI (NSDAI) and Saudi Vision 2030, both of which prioritize artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and advanced technologies as key drivers of economic diversification and productivity.
Why RIME Matters to the GCC
RIME's latest funding underscores the GCC's growing ambition to become a global leader in enterprise AI. While much of the global AI conversation focuses on generative AI, RIME is addressing another rapidly expanding segment, Physical AI, where AI agents monitor, analyse, and respond to events in physical environments using cameras, sensors, and edge computing.
For Gulf businesses, this represents a significant opportunity to improve operational efficiency across sectors such as retail, logistics, manufacturing, banking, hospitality, and smart cities. By processing data locally rather than relying solely on cloud infrastructure, edge AI enables faster decision-making, lower latency, stronger data privacy, and more reliable operations.
As more enterprises across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and the wider GCC adopt AI-powered operational technologies, startups like RIME are helping build a regional ecosystem capable of delivering globally competitive AI solutions.
