Replit Acquires Atta for AI Business Analysis Tools
Tribe Techie

Replit has acquired the AI analytics startup Atta, enabling users to perform Replit AI business analysis and charting directly within the platform's chat interface without writing SQL.

Replit is moving deeper into the business side of work with its acquisition of Atta, an AI-powered workspace designed for data interpretation.

Announced September 25, the deal brings Atta’s data analysis and visualization technology into the platform. Co-founders Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa have also joined the company.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Integrating Replit AI Business Analysis

The first integration is already live through Replit Agent. Users can upload a dataset or connect a data source in Replit chat, ask questions in plain language, and receive interactive charts without writing SQL.

Replit is best known as a platform for building software. However, the Atta acquisition expands its role into analyzing the data businesses use to make daily decisions.

The system handles the underlying analysis and can select visualizations based on the user's specific query. Replit gives examples such as waterfall charts for revenue changes and heatmaps for retention patterns.

Streamlining Data Workflows with Replit

The goal is straightforward: let teams investigate questions around growth, revenue, or customer behavior without having to build a separate data workflow for every query.

Atta was built around helping teams investigate business performance through an interactive AI workspace. Its tools let users examine KPI changes, test revenue scenarios, and explore areas such as pricing and retention.

These features reduce reliance on specialist analytics workflows. Replit is now folding those capabilities into a platform that already supports app development and internal tools.

Bridging Analysis and Development

This creates a closer link between analyzing a business problem and building a solution to address it. Replit’s longer-term vision is to connect analysis with the rest of the work that follows.

Insights could eventually feed into presentations, internal workflows, or new software built on the platform. For now, the concrete change is that users can bring business data into Replit and explore it with AI-generated analysis.

Why it Matters to MENA Startups

For lean startup and business teams across MENA, the appeal is reducing the handoffs between business teams and technical or analytics specialists.

A founder investigating churn or a growth team reviewing revenue can start with the data and get to an initial answer without building a separate analytics process.

This does not replace experienced analysts or careful interpretation. It does, however, make routine business analysis more accessible by keeping data exploration within the same environment teams use to build and operate their tools.
