Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) reopened applications for its Summer TechInsight Internship Program, giving university students across Qatar another opportunity to gain practical experience in the country's growing innovation ecosystem.
The programme was open to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at universities in Qatar and sought applicants interested in technology, entrepreneurship, research and innovation. The application window was scheduled to close on September 19, 2024, giving prospective interns only a limited period to submit their applications.
According to QSTP, the internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice by exposing students to real-world projects, professional mentorship and networking opportunities within Qatar's technology ecosystem.
Successful applicants were expected to work alongside professionals and industry experts while developing technical and workplace skills that could strengthen their career prospects after graduation. Beyond hands-on experience, participants also had access to professional development opportunities and a collaborative environment aimed at preparing young talent for careers in science, technology and innovation.
Announcing the reopening of applications on LinkedIn, QSTP said the decision followed the strong response to its previous Summer Internship programme.

The TechInsight Internship Programme forms part of QSTP's broader efforts to nurture local talent and strengthen Qatar's knowledge-based economy. As a member of Qatar Foundation, QSTP supports startups, researchers and technology companies through incubation programmes, innovation initiatives and industry partnerships, while also creating pathways for students to gain exposure to emerging technologies.
Internship programmes such as TechInsight have become an important pipeline for developing skilled professionals in fields including artificial intelligence, engineering, software development and scientific research, as Gulf countries continue investing in innovation-driven economic diversification.
Interested students were able to submit their applications through the application portal before the September 19 deadline.
