Oro has raised $3M in funding to scale its AI-powered finance platform, expand DeFi integrations, and target 10M active users.

The round was co-led by MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital, with participation from M2M Capital, Archer Capital and X21 Digital, alongside follow-on strategic backing from Disrupt.com and ZIGLabs. The latest investment brings Oro’s total funding to $4 million.

How the AI-Powered Finance Platform Works

Oro is building an AI-powered interface designed to turn users’ financial intentions into multi-step transactions. Instead of manually navigating multiple decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols and interfaces, users can describe what they want to accomplish in natural language.

Oro’s system then translates those instructions into transaction routes that users review and sign. The platform remains non-custodial, meaning users retain control of their assets and authorise transactions themselves.

The approach comes as the financial technology industry moves beyond conversational AI towards systems capable of executing tasks based on user intent. Oro is positioning its technology as an execution layer between users and complex financial infrastructure, with the goal of making digital-asset services more accessible to mainstream users.

Scaling Operations and Development

Oro plans to deploy the $3 million across four key areas. A significant portion will go toward AI and agentic technology research and development, including further development of its proprietary Shield Engine and natural-language execution stack.

The company will also invest in global marketing and user acquisition, strengthen its regulatory and compliance capabilities, and expand its engineering, AI research and business development teams. These efforts will support Oro's ambitions to expand its enterprise integrations and establish its technology as an intent-routing layer for third-party protocols.

“Our focus is on turning complex financial infrastructure into something users can access through simple, natural-language intent,” said Varun Choudhary, Co-founder and CEO of Oro.

User Growth and Market Strategy

Oro says the platform has already attracted more than 350,000 unique active users across more than 80 languages. Its recent educational campaign, backed by Amazon Web Services, generated more than 250,000 verified user completions; a live initiative with Ondo Finance recorded more than 50,000 verified completions within its first 24 hours.

The platform also has mainnet integrations with several major Web3 protocols, including Morpho, Kamino, Lido, Aave, Uniswap and Raydium. Oro plans to build on this traction over the next 6 to 12 months, with a target of reaching 10 million active users.

The company's roadmap includes launching native iOS and Android applications, expanding its protocol integrations and developing its B2B offering.

Investor Perspectives on Intent-Based Finance

MH Ventures said Oro is addressing a persistent challenge in digital finance: complexity. “Oro is tackling one of the most persistent bottlenecks in modern finance: complexity,” said Keira Nesdale, Portfolio Manager at MH Ventures.

She highlighted the platform's ability to simplify backend processes while maintaining a non-custodial model. Mapleblock Capital Managing Partner Vijay Garg said Oro's combination of natural-language interfaces and protocol execution could change how consumers and enterprises interact with digital assets.

With the new funding, Oro aims to strengthen its position as the financial sector moves from AI systems that primarily provide information toward agentic systems capable of carrying out authorised actions on behalf of users.

Why it matters

Oro's funding reflects a broader shift in Web3 and fintech towards intent-based finance, where users specify the outcome they want rather than manually managing every step of a transaction. If platforms like Oro can make complex financial actions easier without sacrificing user control, this could lower one of the biggest barriers to mainstream adoption of digital-asset services.
