Kuwait’s theQA Raises $550K to Scale AI Consumer Research

Kuwait-based theQA has raised over $550K in pre-seed funding to grow its AI consumer research platform after reaching 20,000 verified participants.

The round was backed by an undisclosed Kuwaiti family office and strategic angel investors. The capital will support the company’s expansion in Kuwait, improvements to its research tools and the development of additional data analysis capabilities.

Launched in April 2025, theQA helps businesses, agencies and researchers create surveys, reach targeted audiences and gather consumer insights without having to manage every stage of the research process manually.

Advancing AI Consumer Research Tools

The platform’s AI-assisted survey builder turns research briefs into questionnaires, helping organisations investigate consumer preferences, measure brand perceptions and test new product concepts.

Businesses can use the platform to reach relevant participants in Kuwait and collect feedback to inform decisions about products, marketing and customer experience.

Rather than replacing the research process entirely, theQA uses AI to simplify tasks such as preparing survey questions and organising workflows, while connecting businesses with a verified pool of respondents.

Growth and Operational Goals

The startup says its revenue has grown every quarter in 2026 so far, nearly doubling since January. The company has not disclosed absolute revenue figures or profitability.

Its growing participant panel provides the foundation for its research offering: businesses need access to relevant respondents to gather meaningful feedback, while a larger verified panel can help the platform serve a wider range of research requirements.

Ahmad Al-Ebrahim, co-founder and CEO of theQA, said reaching more than 20,000 participants reinforced the need for a platform that makes consumer research more accessible.

Co-founder and CTO Hussain Al-Nashabah said the funding would help improve the product and introduce new capabilities to simplify research and turn consumer feedback into actionable decisions.

TheQA plans to use the investment to strengthen its technology, improve its research and analysis tools, and expand its operations within Kuwait. The company has not announced a regional expansion timeline or disclosed the identities of its investors.

Why it Matters to MENA Startups

For businesses operating in Kuwait, understanding local consumers can influence everything from product development and pricing to marketing campaigns and market entry. Research can be costly and time-consuming, particularly for smaller companies without dedicated research teams.

TheQA is targeting that gap with a platform designed to make consumer research easier to commission and manage.

Its next challenge will be turning its growing participant base into sustained business demand, while demonstrating that its AI-assisted approach can deliver reliable insights that organizations are willing to pay for.
