HSBC Egypt Retail Banking Business Sold to Emirates NBD

HSBC will sell its HSBC Egypt retail banking business to Emirates NBD as it shifts focus to corporate banking, strengthening regional banking consolidation.

The transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the second half of 2027.
