AI startup Flam has successfully raised $40 million in Series B funding to expand its interactive content platform, grow enterprise sales, and enter Nigeria.

AI interactive content company Flam has secured this capital as it expands its AI platform and prepares for a global rollout. The round was led by QED Investors, with participation from Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan, and Shah Rukh Khan.

Existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail also increased their investments. The latest round brings Flam's total funding to $62 million.

Scaling the Interactive Content Platform

Flam is building technology that lets digital content respond to users rather than play or display information. The company has signed more than 100 enterprise customers in the past six quarters, including Google, Emirates, and KFC.

Its technology is used across marketing, product visualization, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support, and sales. Its product portfolio includes Flicks, which lets users interact with videos and change elements during playback.

Flam also offers Forge, an AI editing model, and Airboards, which delivers interactive 3D experiences through touch, voice, and haptic interfaces.

AI Innovation and Global Growth

The company has also developed Fable, an image-to-video model, alongside Visual Agents designed to hold conversations. Flam says its technology stack includes five AI models and more than 15 patents.

Flam will use the new capital to increase research and development of its AI models and expand its product suite. The company is also developing Falcon, a 26-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts language model, as part of its broader AI infrastructure. Flam says its Visual Agent pipeline can return responses in under two seconds.

The funding comes as Flam looks to turn its growing enterprise traction into a larger global business. Its founder, Shourya Agarwal, said the company focuses on making interactive content easier to build and deploy at enterprise scale.

Expanding Into Nigeria

Flam is expanding into Nigeria through SmartSense Technologies, its exclusive partner in the country. SmartSense will support localising and deploying Flam's technology for Nigerian brands, agencies, and enterprises.

The partnership gives Flam a route into a market where mobile-first consumer behavior has helped drive adoption of new digital experiences. For Nigerian businesses, the technology could be used across advertising, customer engagement, and interactive learning.

Why it matters to African Startups

Flam's expansion shows how AI is moving beyond content generation into content that users can actively interact with. For African brands and startups, that shift could open new ways to build customer experiences without requiring users to download separate applications.

The bigger opportunity may be in how these technologies are adapted locally. Flam's partnership with SmartSense puts a local technology company between the global platform and Nigerian businesses, creating room for localization and new enterprise use cases.
