Saudi InsurTech startup DESAISIV recently unveiled its AI insurance agent and announced an $8 million funding round to expand its enterprise insurance software. The launch comes as businesses increasingly seek AI-powered tools to streamline insurance operations, reduce costs, and improve decision-making.

DESAISIV said the new capital will support research and development, broaden its enterprise product portfolio, strengthen strategic partnerships, and scale commercial operations. Founded in 2023 by Mohammad Nabhan and Saed Khawaldeh, the company is positioning itself as an AI infrastructure provider for enterprise insurance, targeting one of the industry's most complex and traditionally manual segments.

How the AI Insurance Agent Works

Corporate insurance represents one of the largest operating expenses for many organisations, yet much of the sector continues to rely on fragmented systems, spreadsheets, and manual processes. DESAISIV's AI insurance agent is designed to automate insurance management by combining agentic artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and industry expertise.

The platform benchmarks market pricing, evaluates policy performance, identifies cost-saving opportunities, negotiates competitive premiums, and provides real-time insights throughout the insurance lifecycle. According to the company, the platform enables enterprises to make faster, more transparent, and data-driven insurance decisions while improving operational efficiency.

"Insurance is one of the world's largest industries, yet it remains one of the least intelligent from a technology perspective," said Saed Khawaldeh, Co-Founder of DESAISIV. "We believe AI will fundamentally change how organisations purchase, manage, and optimise insurance."

Scaling Enterprise Technology

Since its launch, DESAISIV has built a growing presence in Saudi Arabia's enterprise insurance market. The company said it serves more than 600 corporate clients, works with 18 insurance brokers and insurers, and manages a corporate insurance portfolio exceeding SAR 2 billion.

Building on that growth, DESAISIV plans to expand beyond corporate health insurance into motor insurance, leasing, general insurance, and other AI-powered enterprise risk management solutions. The company is targeting more than SAR 10 billion in insurance premiums processed through its platform as it broadens its product offering.

DESAISIV said the proposed US$8 million funding round will accelerate AI research, expand enterprise software capabilities, and support commercial growth as demand for intelligent insurance infrastructure increases across the region.

The Future of Insurance Operations

Co-Founder Mohammad Nabhan said the company's long-term vision extends beyond digitising insurance administration. "We are building the AI operating system for enterprise insurance—an intelligent platform capable of connecting every stakeholder, automating complex decisions, and creating a more transparent, efficient, and data-driven insurance ecosystem," he said.

DESAISIV's latest announcement reflects a broader trend of artificial intelligence transforming enterprise software across highly regulated industries, including finance, healthcare, and insurance. Rather than simply digitising existing workflows, AI platforms are increasingly being deployed to automate decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and generate predictive business insights.

With growing commercial traction, expanding partnerships, and a focus on enterprise AI, DESAISIV is seeking to position itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and InsurTech as businesses modernise how they manage corporate risk.

Why It Matters to MENA

DESAISIV's latest move highlights how artificial intelligence is reshaping enterprise software across the Middle East, particularly in industries that have historically been slow to digitise. Insurance remains a critical but operationally complex function for businesses, and AI-powered automation offers significant opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance strategic decision-making.

Saudi Arabia has become one of the region's fastest-growing markets for enterprise technology, supported by Vision 2030, increasing digital transformation initiatives, and rising investment in AI-driven businesses. As companies modernise their operations, demand is growing for intelligent platforms capable of managing complex business processes with minimal manual intervention.

DESAISIV's expansion also reflects the emergence of a new generation of Gulf startups developing enterprise-grade AI infrastructure rather than consumer-focused applications. By targeting large organisations and partnering with insurers and brokers, the company is building technology that could influence how corporate insurance is managed across the region.

For MENA's broader InsurTech ecosystem, the company's growth signals increasing investor confidence in AI-powered business software and reinforces Saudi Arabia's position as a leading hub for enterprise innovation.
