Career 180 Launches KEMET-X Startup Event in Egypt

Career 180 has officially launched KEMET-X, a new KEMET-X startup event bringing funds representing approximately $5B from five continents to Egypt to foster global investment connections.

Career 180 notes that participating funds represent approximately $5 billion in capital across five continents. This figure represents the total capital managed by participating funds rather than a direct $5 billion investment commitment to Egypt.

The platform aims to create connections between startups and global capital. It also provides founders with access to international markets, partnerships, and expertise.

Global Startup and Investor Gathering

The initiative was recently unveiled at a launch event in Cairo attended by key stakeholders from Egypt’s entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem.

KEMET-X’s flagship gathering is scheduled for December 14–15, 2026, at the Great Pyramids of Giza. Career 180 expects more than 200 partners, startups, and venture capital firms from over 50 countries to participate.

The event will include startup exhibitions, investor matchmaking, pitch opportunities, panel discussions, and workshops. A dedicated Investors Lounge will provide founders and investors with space for direct meetings and potential deal discussions.

The KEMET-X Tracks Challenge, introduced during the Cairo launch, will cover business, creative industries, technology, intellectual property, and innovation.

Expanding the KEMET-X Startup Event Reach
