Syrian healthtech startup Alo Hakeem has raised $165K in pre-seed funding to improve its home healthcare platform and prepare its official app for a November release.

The round was led by EBLA Ventures. This capital allows the startup to move beyond its minimum viable product (MVP), upgrade its technology infrastructure, and expand the capabilities of its service platform.

Developing the Home Healthcare Platform

Founded in 2025 by Al-Baraa Abdulsalam and Abdullatif Al-Baroudi, Alo Hakeem connects patients with home healthcare providers. It offers services including medical visits, nursing care, physiotherapy, elderly care, and laboratory testing.

Alo Hakeem is using the new funding to complete the technology behind its official application. They are preparing the platform for its next stage of development.

The November launch will introduce the app to the public as the startup works towards a broader service offering. The immediate focus is on improving its technical infrastructure and expanding the capabilities needed to coordinate home healthcare requests.

Supporting Syrian Healthtech Innovation

The startup previously participated in Thimar, a programme supporting Syrian startups as they develop their businesses and prepare for growth.

Upgrade

Alo Hakeem is building a service that allows patients and families to arrange different forms of medical care at home through one platform. This avoids the need to independently coordinate multiple providers.

Its offering covers medical visits, physiotherapy, elderly care, and laboratory testing. By organising bookings and connecting patients with healthcare providers, the startup aims to simplify the process of arranging care outside traditional medical facilities.

Future Growth and Digital Coordination

The model creates a central point for managing requests and coordinating providers as the range of services grows. Alo Hakeem’s funding highlights an opportunity for locally developed healthtech platforms to improve access to services through better coordination and digital tools.

For patients and families, a more organised service could make it easier to arrange medical visits, rehabilitation, and diagnostic testing. For providers, digital coordination helps manage appointments and connect with patients seeking care at home.

Scaling the Service Offering

Expanding the platform will depend on more than launching an app. Alo Hakeem will need to maintain a reliable provider network, deliver consistent service, and build user trust as demand grows.

The immediate milestone is Alo Hakeem’s planned November 2026 app launch. Its rollout should offer a clearer indication of how the company translates its MVP into a fuller service and attracts users beyond its initial platform. The next challenge will be turning that launch into sustained use while expanding the services and provider network supporting its business.
